Like millions of other Ukrainians, Irina was forced to flee her home when the war broke out. She escaped to Poland with her family, bringing very few personal items, and was without a change of clothes.

Irina was connected to CORE while in Poland, and became a beneficiary of our cash assistance program with our partners at Mastercard and EML, which allowed her to purchase necessities quickly and on her own terms.
