This is a tour of the Hollywood Bowl the night Cynthia Erivo sang with the LA Philharmonic.

Cynthia Erivo sang beautifully and her costumes were lovely. She was really passionate about the songs she sang and you can tell that she really enjoyed singing them.

It’s a perfect summer night to enjoy live music. It is absolutely worth it to check out the LA Philharmonic. The music was beautiful and the stage lighting was great.

The Hollywood Bowl opened in 1922 and has been an amazing destination for live music in Southern California. The Hollywood Bowl has hosted everyone from Billie Holiday to the Beatles to Yo-Yo Ma under the iconic silhouette of its concentric arched band shell.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association named the Hollywood Bowl Main Gate in honor of Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, in recognition of his unwavering support of the arts in Los Angeles.

As Third District County Supervisor, Yaroslavsky has helped to modernize the Hollywood Bowl, improving the overall experience for the millions of people who visit the iconic venue. Yaroslavsky has provided County funds to help renovate the Bowl's shell, bench seating in the theater, restrooms, large LED screens, park furnishings and lighting, and the picnic areas located throughout the Bowl grounds. Yaroslavsky was the leading proponent of the 1996 park and open-space funding measure Proposition A, which provided funding for infrastructure improvements at the Bowl, including accessible seating and elevators.

The Bowl Walk is a fun, self-guided tour for visitors of all ages. It features 10 photographic displays throughout the property, presenting information on the cultural events, history, natural environment, and architecture of the Hollywood Bowl, a Los Angeles historic landmark. The walk is a great option for the visitors who do not have a large enough group for a docent-led tour, who enjoy self-led tours, or who are visiting the Bowl on days the Museum is closed.

There is also a Hollywood Bowl museum here. The main floor of the museum houses the permanent exhibition, Hollywood Bowl: Music For Everyone, while the second floor is home to rotating exhibitions related to specific eras and events from the Hollywood Bowl’s 100-year institutional history.

The Hollywood Bowl also has buses that will take you to the Hollywood Bowl. You park in one of their designated Park and Ride lots and the buses will take you to the bowl for a fee.
