Tire Rotation 101, the best way to get the most life out of your tires by simply using this pattern when rotating your tires with only 2 jack stands. I also look into why we want to rotate our tires from a more mechanical stand point because its not all just about gaining tire life but also preventing wear on other component like your rear differential. Very easy to do and a great way to extend the longevity of the vehicle.

Now before you start jacking up your own vehicle make sure you have some jack stands and a decent Jack. IDEALLY you want a bottle jack because it can ask like a jack stand if you set it up properly. So you'll want both your jack stands under the rear axles and use your bottle jack to lift the front end (one side at a time). As simple of a process as rotating your tires way seem there are some safety steps to be taken. having your vehicle fall of your jack can easily ruin a weekend that no amount of beer could fix. ideally you'll want 4 jacks but as I mentioned if the bottle jack seals let go it can only fall down so far acting as a "semi jack stand".

As I mention most shops rotate tires a pretty affordable price because they get to put your vehicle up on a hoist and take the tires off and poke around to see of they can ding ya for other repairs. so if ya don't feel comfortable just take it to a shop and they'll do it for ya in 30 mins.
