Star Trek: First Contact is considered by many to be the definitive Next Generation movie. One of the most action-packed Star Trek movies, it pits Captain Picard against one of the franchise's most iconic enemies - the Borg and their queen, played by Alice Krige. Directed by Jonathan Frakes, the film proved to be a box office smash in 1996, becoming the highest grossing Star Trek film internationally, and setting up the Next Generation crew for a long-running franchise that, sadly, never really came to pass.
