In today's episode we travel to the South Pole to see what interesting tractors are at work in this coldest region on earth! Special versions of tractors from brands such as John Deere, Case IH, Challenger, CAT Caterpillar, Massey Ferguson, Ursus and Valmet serve scientists there not only for heavy work, but are often the main means of transportation. What's more, the tractors were among the first vehicles to cross Antarctica at all! In 1957, Sir Edmund Hillary and his expedition that included three Ferguson TE-20s tractors were the first to traverse the icy land.
