Hey everyone! I interrupt the usual FJ Cruiser videos to finally share this video from my days on the railroad as a fireman shoveling coal! This is just meant to be a little look into the life of an enginemen on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The video begins with us in K-36 #482 and later on in the video you also get to see K-28 #476. I just strapped the GoPro in various places and let it play out as I worked. Hope you find it interesting! Especially since the art of coal-firing is something you don’t get to see every day, especially with the railroad making steps towards converting to oil burning for logistical and safety reasons.
