The Terrible Truth About The Budapest Operation

Ever since her introduction to the world of comics, way back in 1964 in Tales of Suspense, Natasha Romanoff - or Romanova, as she was known in the funny pages - has been one of Marvel’s most fascinating, flawed and morally ambiguous characters. Originally a Russian spy and antagonist for the likes of Tony Stark’s Iron Man, she eventually opted to join S.H.I.E.L.D, and would go on to become a valued member of the Avengers.

Played by Scarlett Johansson on the big screen, Black Widow made her debut in 2010 in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2, and has been entertaining us ever since with her duplicitous, high-kicking antics. Whether manipulating Loki himself in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, snarking it up with Cap in The Winter Soldier, or sacrificing herself for the greater good in Avengers Endgame, the former Red Room super spy has had a pretty colorful career since joining the MCU.

But over all that time, how much have we ever really found out about her? We’ve had hints that there’s a lot of dark stuff in this mysterious lady’s past, but all we’ve ever really had are whispers and scraps.

Well, no longer, Marvel super fans! Whether you’ve braved the movie theatre or simply caught the new release on Disney+, the Black Widow solo movie has arrived, and of course the question on everybody’s lips is - WHAT HAPPENED IN BUDAPEST?

In this video, we’re going to be discussing just that...
