With the trailers of his upcoming movies ‘Siberia’ and ‘Destination Wedding’ breaking the internet (the latter marks his return with one of his highly acclaimed co-stars Winona Ryder) Allow us to introduce you to one of the kindest people in Hollywood: Mr. Keanu Reeves and how he overcame a series of tragic events in his life, before and after becoming a wealthy movie star.

With over a net worth of $350 mn, Keanu gained fame for his starring role performances in several blockbuster films, including comedies from the Bill and Ted franchise (1989–1991); action thrillers Point Break (1991), Speed (1994), and the John Wick franchise; psychological thriller The Devil's Advocate (1997); supernatural thriller Constantine (2005); and science fiction/action series The Matrix (1999–2003). He has also appeared in dramatic films such as Dangerous Liaisons (1988), My Own Private Idaho (1991), and Little Buddha (1993), as well as the romantic horror Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992).

When Reeves first arrived in Hollywood, his agent thought his first name was too exotic, so during the early days of his film career, he is sometimes credited as K.C. Reeves, Norman Kreeves or Chuck Spadina.

We’re all familiar with Bullet Time Keanu, bodacious Bill and Ted-era Keanu, and, of course, Sad Keanu —one of the internet’s best-loved memes. But there’s another side to the Canadian star that you might not know about.
The notoriously private actor hasn’t had the easiest life.

In addition to his film roles, Reeves has also performed in theatre. His performance in the title role in a Manitoba Theatre Centre production of Hamlet. In all, he has won 12 Awards, in his 22 nominations.

He is known for playing stoic reserved characters coupled with his intense contemplative gaze and a deep husky voice.
Stanley Kubrick, David Lean, Frank Capra and Martin Scorsese are some of his favorite filmmakers. Keanu has named Peter O'Toole as the actor who has influenced him the most. He fancies ballroom dancing, is an avid fan of Formula 1 and IndyCar racing.

Keanu has been listed as one of the Sexiest Man Alive many times and is still a heartthrob at 53. He is jokingly considered to be immortal due to striking resemblances to Vlad the Impaler and Paul Manet.

The phrase “Do you know who I am?” isn’t in Reeves’ vocabulary. Unlike other big (and a few small) stars, when Keanu isn’t recognized by the person working the door, he doesn’t freak out — even if it’s his party. Don’t believe us, check out the video to know why, despite all the personal tragedies and setbacks, Keanu still holds the number one spot on the list of the most humble celebrities of all time.
