The all-new Subaru Outback has arrived, built on Subaru's global platform shared with Forester and Ascent. The Subaru Outback was the very first Subaru utility vehicle that went on sale almost 25 years ago. The basic formula has remained the same over that time and now Subaru has introduced this 6th generation Outback SUV with even more features. The Subaru Outback is sold agin after several years with a turbocharged engine. The base Subaru Outback is a 2.5L 4-cylinder with 182hp, now the 3.6L 6-cylinder has been replaced with a 2.4L turbo 4-cylinder with 260hp and 277lb.-ft. of torque. This new turbo or XT version is more powerful than the engine it replaces and runs on regular gas. The all-new Subaru Outback comes with a standard CVT, bi-LED headlamps and standard LED fog lamps. The wheelbase remains the same as the last Outback but this car is slightly wider. The interior is a major step up for the Subaru Outback thanks to an 11.6-inch centre infotainment screen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This screen is on all but the base model that gets two 7-inch screens stacked on top of each other. The Subaru Outback SUV has room for 5-passengers over two rows with a longer cargo area than most in the compact utility class. The new Outdoor model of the Outback is only offered with the new turbo engine plus gets black wheels, side mirrors and front grille, plus faux leather seats, all-weather floor mats and a full-size spare tire. The Subaru Outback Outdoor also has the dual mode X-Mode for deeper snow and mud, plus a forward facing camera system. All Subaru Outback models come standard with Eyesight, the advanced safety suite from Subaru.
