Techignite is NTU College of Engineering’s very first virtual engineering festival where we take participants on a 2-month experiential journey to uncover the marvels of engineering! The theme for this year is Sustainability where our speakers will showcase how various industries incorporate sustainable elements in creating strategic solutions for the future!

In this Speaker Series by Mr Frank Phuan, founder of Sunseap and an alumnus at NTU School of Materials Science and Engineering, we hear from Mr Phuan his stint at various start-ups before joining his family business in 2004. Today, Sunseap is involved in 3 out of the 4 energy switches (Solar, Low-Carbon, Regional Power Grids, Natural Gas/Hydrogen).

In Singapore, 95% or more of our energy is powered by natural gas which has one of the lower carbon footprints (compared to diesel or coal), one of the cleanest option. However, carbon footprint is still generated. Singapore (and many countries) hopes to transition brown energy to green energy, a 0 carbon landscape. Is it possible to move 95% to 0% in approximately 30 years’ time? Sunseap thinks it is possible! Find out why in the talk!

Sunseap Group is the largest and most established clean energy solutions provider in Singapore, with regional operations in South East Asia Pacific. We currently have a portfolio of pipeline and completed projects that is close to 2 GigaWatt-peak (GWp) of solar projects in Singapore and around the South East Asia and Pacific region.
