The current generation 4 Series is nearing the end of its life cycle, but BMW has kept it fresh with the updated 2018 model year. New LED headlights and the optional Snapper Rocks Blue Metallic paint found on our test car give the car a new look, while there's also a new stiffer suspension setup, which helps the 4 Series to continue being one of the best handling cars in its segment. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder for the 430i is a carryover, producing 248 horsepower. Power delivery through the eight-speed automatic is great, but is the added 460 pounds from the convertible hard top that makes the car feel heavy worth the sacrifice?
