Tide pools! One of the great things about Southern California is all of the options for fun outdoor activities.

Exploring the tide pools is a great way to spend an afternoon. In this video, I'll explain the best time to go tide pooling and show you one of the top beaches for tide pools in Orange County.

Little Corona Del Mar Beach (not to be confused with Corona Del Mar State Beach) is in the city of Newport Beach. Here's everything you need to know about visiting:

🌴 Location: There is a paved pathway to walk down to the beach at the intersection of Poppy Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. It is a bit of a walk and fairly steep. There is no exact address, but google maps will bring you to the above intersection if you search the beach name.

πŸš™ Parking: Parking in the neighborhood near the pathway to the beach is free but limited on busy days.

πŸ™ Bathroom: This beach has a nice clean public bathroom!

🌊 Lifeguard: No lifeguard on duty when I visited.

πŸ• Dogs: Allowed during certain hours, check the City of Newport Beach website.

Katie's tide pool rating: πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€ (5/5 Crabs - Excellent)

The NOAA is a good resource for tide charts:
