In order to maintain a festive atmosphere at the Caribana Festival, it is strictly forbidden to enter the grounds with drinks, drugs or other prohibited substances, weapons (firearms, knives, etc.) or any other object considered as such, cameras and audio or video recorders.
In summary, I would definitely attend Caribana again - but might opt to "play mas" next time rather than watch from the other side of the fence. I saw TONS of folks over-50 like me, of all shapes, nationalities and races walking & dancing with the carnival bands.
