Isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone with a pulsating effect at a specific frequency. These distinctive pulsating tones can cause the brain to adjust or adapt to the frequency of the tone. In this music, the isochronic tones pulsate at a frequency of 1Hz, 2Hz and 3Hz respectively.

These frequencies lie within the range of delta brainwaves (0.1 - 4 Hz). Delta waves are the slowest recorded brain waves in human beings. They are found most often in infants and young children, and are associated with the deepest levels of relaxation and restorative, healing sleep. They also induce the production of melatonin, which helps regulate the body’s circadian rhythm.
