This video explains my preferred method for using BTI to treat my plants for fungus gnats. I have found that soaking the mosquito bits and then watering lightly with a highly concentrated liquid to be much more effective than sprinkling them on the soil. It's especially great because you can treat your entire collection in the same day.
Step 1: soak 1 or more tbsp of mosquito bits in water for 24-48 hours
Step 2: transfer the concentrate to a watering can and add a splash to each of your plants
Step 3: repeat weekly until gnats are no longer present
This has worked really well for me and I hope it helps you turn the tides against the fungus gnats in your collection! Links to the mosquito bits below.
