Ismael Vargas explains and shows you how to find the suckers and prune them with FELCO hand pruners and a folding hand saw.

Here's a TIP: Remove all the suckers first, at the ridge of the branch so the branch will heal properly and not leave a stub that may in time, destroy the rest of the branch and look ugly later on.
Then, remove all dead branches.
Then, start opening up the canopy/branch structure.
