This is a common failure point in these transmissions, especially when they get a little bit of age on them. I bought this particular truck brand new in 2011, but it only has 110,000 miles on it. This failure developed for me yesterday, but it has only been a few thousand miles since a recent fluid change on this particular transmission. Replacing this component solved the problem I was having.
