Despite not being fond of Zack Snyder's DCEU films, his 4 hour cut of Justice League was very enjoyable and surpassed by expectations. It also continues the trend of the scores from Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL being some of my favorite superhero movie scores in recent memory.

I don't remember much of Man of Steel, whether it's because of that film's quality or just me I am unsure of. What I do remember however, is the brilliant and terrifying performance by Michael Shannon as General Zod, still to this day my favorite DCEU villain. Zimmer and Holkenborg gave him an iconic theme, with various sections, instruments, and melodies coalescing into a loud, imposing, dominating, epic theme that's been used in every DC Snyder film since, due to the sheer scope and gravitas his theme has had since Man of Steel.
