Learn how to breathe from your diaphragm

This video teaches you how to breathe using your diaphragm , a dome-shaped muscle at the base of the lungs. When you inhale, your diaphragm contracts (tightens) and moves downward. This creates more space in your chest cavity, allowing the lungs to expand. When you exhale, the opposite happens — your diaphragm relaxes and moves upward in the chest cavity.
Muscle imbalances, poor posture and chronic stress and anxiety has resulted in people breathing from their chest or apical breathing.
The benefits of diaphragmatic breathing include:
Promotes calm and relaxation
Reduces stress levels
Reduces blood presure
Decreases muscular tension around neck and shoulders
