For the last 20 years, I've been a fan of Joe Gibbs Racing, but I have to admit there is reason to be concerned for the team's future and the recent news that Denny Hamlin and FedEx are both in contract years has really made the future more concerning. In the early 2000's, Jack Roush Racing was at the top of the NASCAR world, but then began a long, slow slide to the midfield, becoming Roush Fenway Racing and only now after bringing in Brad Keselowski and rebranding to RFK Racing has the team begun to show promise for the future. Some of the same warning signs that were present for Roush are starting to become present for Gibbs. They've already lost MARS and Kyle Busch, now there is a chance that the could lose FedEx and Denny Hamlin, and if Martin Truex Jr. were to retire, Bass Pro Shops will likely go as well. Ultimately, I don't think that they will ever sink as low as Roush did, but there is reason to be concerned for the future. Let me know what you think and thank you for watching
