Why do INFJ men always feel invisible? This is a question that so many INFJ men ask themselves and there are no easy answers. This is a very specific problem that causes a lot of confusion for men with an INFJ personality type. They feel invisible because they feel like they are not seen at parties/group gatherings, they are not listened to in work meetings, and they are routinely ignored in relationships. Most INFJ men grew up in situations where it was safer to stay invisible, which means that at an early age they subconsciously turned on the “invisibility cloak,” and they suppressed their natural personality by not talking very much, not asking questions, adopting withdrawn body language, and not making waves in relationships, or in the household. Women with the INFJ personality type tend to do this too, but INFJ men suffer more from it because of the way masculinity is viewed in our culture. Since masculinity is supposed to be aggressive, outgoing, take-charge, and commanding, the way that INFJ men work their energy is the opposite of what most people expect from men, and because INFJ men with invisibility cloak subconsciously turned on are working their energy in an opposite way, they are more ignored than INFJ women (who are “supposed to be” more withdrawn and submissive). There is a solution to this, and numerous strategies that INFJ men can use to shift out of this ongoing state of invisibility and make their voices be heard. Tune into the video to find out what this solution is and how you can begin to use it in your everyday life as an INFJ man.
