The Scientific variables are:

1. Independent Variable
- can affect the dependent variable
- the variable that is changed by the experimenter
- the “what you do” in the experiment

2. Dependent Variable
- can be affected by the independent variable
- the change or result that occurs due to the independent variable
- the “what will happen” in an experiment

3. Controlled Variable
- the same variable during the experiment to ensure accuracy and reliability of the result

Experimental Set-up
- the exact same set-up as the control set-up but it has independent variable

Controlled Set-up
- the exact same set-up as the experimental set-up but it has no independent variable
