After the success of the previous version of this video, and after reading all the requests and questions about it, I expanded it to make it more self-contained. Previously, it was fine for my students who have been following my lectures for a whole term, but on YouTube, many of my followers were asking questions that were not addressed in the video.

I have emphasized the importance of knowing the slopes of the plot in non-horizontal segments, not only the decibels at critical points (or degrees, in the case of phase plots). This will define the order of a filter later on in the course. It also implies the width of the transition band in a filter.
