This is my video rendition of one of my favorite AWOLNATION songs, "Handyman", and I made it thinking about my dog. We used to go hiking every fall to the highest mountains, and he has always been the most resilient companion. Due to his advanced age and kidney disease, I did not find it appropriate or safe for him to come out this time around. My dearest friend, Anne, helped me come up with a video to illustrate all the things that we would've done with my dog "Patrick". However, in some way, I feel he was always there.
Another aspect of this song is its message of trying to be a handyman to the soul with the tools each one of us has to help others.
Now, I hope AWOLNATION's label won't get mad at me for using the song. After all, it is a very inspiring song. Thanks for great song and amazing writing.
Additionally, I included footage of a trip to Southwestern Virginia and North Carolina. I make my videos to try and inspire people to go out there and travel and enjoy the word. I hope this one will do just that.
