Spending the night so far underground was a wild feeling and even a little disorienting.
Before any of the siphons the lake was 4 feet deep for the first 100 feet and a seriously chilly obstacle. This is why we began to drain it.
The siphons worked very well, draining the lake 4 inches overnight. Surely by now they have finished draining the entire lake and have died, allowing the lake to refill. It is now someone else adventure.
