Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

Back to flying despite the low clouds an occasional rain that came through the site! Lots of activity on the south end and conduit installation on the north end too!

In the video introduction, I recap the weekend's activities with the Tesla Star Wars themed "May the Fourth" lightshows I did, and I announce the premier of both Part 1 and Part 2 of my Boring Company Tour video series. Part 1 will Premier tomorrow, 7 May and then Part 2 will Premier on Thursday, 9 May! Lots of great information in both, so make sure you look for them!

Some of the other highlights today include:

Cybertruck inventory is down on the site, but I take that as a sign more have been transported off site and to customers, which is a positive development! I did see more Cybertrucks emerging from the factory too, as production ramps back up after the weekend. Model Y production was also starting to pick up on this early Monday morning, with some coming out of the factory during my time in the air.

The Boring Company crews and Prufrock 3 were busy tunneling this morning, with visible dirt spoils moving on the conveyor belt system! Also, there appears to be an additional belt installed, extending the length of the conveyor system and suggesting the tunnel has indeed moved much further under the highway. about half of the originally delivered concrete tunnel liners have been used, at least from what I could observe, so that might indicate a tunnel length of at least 500 feet or about 150 to 160 meters at this point!

On the north end, conduit installation and trenching is visible in four major areas south of the electrical switchyard and two of these are now west of the powerlines. On the northeast corner of the casting machine area, trenching is evident, along with markings showing where more concrete will be removed to allow the trenches to extend farther away from the exterior wall. Also in this area, concrete vaults with conduit holes are clearly visible, showing where the wiring will connect and enter into the main factory.

The south end extension construction has made huge progress on several fronts in the past 4 days. The glass on the south end extends the entire width and is wrapping onto the southwest angled corner. More concrete work on the ground floor is evident, and we see several different floor elevations in the new center area where steel is filling in the once open space between the new and original structures. Roofing material installation continues on another large section of the new steel structure, while more roof decking has been installed on the newly assembled west side.
