A few months ago, we got a chance to drive a standard Polestar 2 around San Francisco. While we enjoyed the car, for its quiet interior over bumpy roads, it was difficult to tell if the Polestar 2 performed well enough to justify its ~$60,000 starting price. So we gave it a second chance and this time, we got behind the wheel of a Performance model. Now, it's important to consider that all Polestar 2 cars come with AWD standard, and this $5000 upgrade maintains the listed 4.7s 0-60mph but should improve driving dynamics with optimized driving dynamics with improved damping, larger Brembo brakes, 20" 4-Y Spoke Black Polished Forged Alloy Wheel look a little better with Gold accents throughout. In this video, we give the Polestar 2 a second chance to see if it can compete with the much less expensive Tesla Model 3 Performance.
What do you think, in what ways is the Polestar 2 the best car for the money and would you buy one or are you also waiting for the Precept like us?
