This weekend we welcome the British and Midland Championships to our beautiful hill on the outskirts of the Cotswolds
.
The first British Hillclimb Championship took place in 1947 and since then there have been 32 different champions. The British Hillclimb Championship is organised and run by the British Automobile Racing Club on behalf of Motorsport UK and takes place at 11 different venues throughout the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, with rounds 17 & 18 at Prescott this weekend. There are 2 rounds at each event with the first event of the season taking place in April and the final event in September. At each event there are two ‘Top Twelve’ run-offs with championship points going to the top 10.

Prescott Speed Hill Climb is one of the world's most prestigious motor racing venues. Set in 69 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, the estate not only provides a beautiful setting for a range of classic car and bike weekends, but also hosts major motor racing championships.

The track is 1127 yards long and rises over 200 feet on a technically challenging course incorporating short straights, fast and slow corners and a breath-taking hairpin. The fastest modern racing cars completing the course in under 36 seconds!
