Hey guys, has your truck's Tonneau cover lost its luster and shine? Maybe doesn't look as good as it did when you first got it?
Well, we've got a product here from TruXedo called Pro-Tex that we're going to use to show you how to bring that back. Hi, I'm John with RealTruck.com and let's get this Tonneau cover looking like new again.
Some of the great things about this product is that one, it's non-toxic. You can spray it on, it's not going to hurt the environment if it gets washed off or whatever. Also, it's got a nice UV protectant added to it, which will help keep the sun from damaging your Tonneau cover. And it also has a non-static formula added to it. I'm going to show you how to use this, and like with any product, you should always read and follow the directions on the label.
The first thing you're going to do is take it and you're just going to spray it on. And you want to spray a liberal amount onto the Tonneau cover. Now when I say liberal, guys, I don't mean like, soak it down. I just mean spray enough on to cover it. Okay? Then we're going to take a soft nylon bristle type of brush, and we're just going to scrub this in.
Once we have that scrubbed in, then what we're going to do is we're going to take a paper towel, something of that nature, and we're going to wipe off all the extra that's on here. And as you can see here, I'm only doing part of this Tonneau because I want you guys to be able to see how this stuff really works and makes a big difference between what it looked like before and what it's going to look like after we're all done here. You can kind of see by the rag how well that this Pro-Tex actually cleans. So what we're going to do now is we're going to let this dry and then we'll move on to the next step of bringing the life back to our Tonneau cover again.
So we've given our first coat time to dry and so now what we want to do is we want to do the finishing coat. And we're going to just do a spray of a light coating onto our Tonneau cover. And then, we're going to allow that time to dry, and then I'll show you what to do, once this is dry. Okay, guys, we've sprayed our second coat on. We've let it sit and dry.
