The Oregon, California, Mormon, and Pony Express Trails all followed the Platte River westward through Nebraska, guiding a quarter million emigrants between 1843 and 1869. Scotts Bluff was the first geographic challenge they'd encounter on their journey, and is now a National Monument. In this week's Grand Adventure we explore Scotts Bluff's history, the twin towns of Scottsbluff and Gering, the Wildcat Hills, Lake Minatare, and RV camping opportunities throughout the area, so come along!
