The Vedic recitation of Rig Veda is as per the method followed in Tamil Nadu, India. This form of recitation takes lot of breath because, the Maatra for Svarita/deergha svarita is more.

About the Mantras:
*These Mantras are from Rig Veda Khilam or Parisishtam. Addressed to Śrī (Lakshmī) and Agni Devatas by Ṛishis: Ānanda – Kardama – Śrīda - Chiklīta: ( Śrīputra: ), with Anushtup, Bṛhatī and Trishtup Chandas.
*There are 15 Mantras in this Sukta followed by 14 verses of Phala Sruti (Benefit of reciting this Sukta)

Chanting Style:
*As per rules of Rig Veda
*The Sri Suktam rendition in this video may also be called – “Kumbakonam method”, which is considered authentic by learned scholars.
*There are other methods of chanting Sri Suktam as well, with lots of “Paatabedam” (Variations)

Benefits of this Mantra:
*This Hymn is a prayer to Jataveda(Agni), to bring in Prosperity(Śrī), fame and wealth(Lakshmi). To destroy Poverty (Alakshmi) and evil powers. As per Rig Vidhana (2.91) one desirous of getting prosperity and huge wealth, should recite this Sukta repeatedly. This is a powerful prayer to Establish Lakshmi (Śrī) in your Home.
