STEMFest - Inspiring the next generation into a career in STEM

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. At Turntide we are lucky enough to use each of the STEM disciplines already in our everyday work.

The event will involve over 40 businesses showcasing their work in this sector as well as highlighting the range of careers and opportunities available now and in the future. Businesses will to deliver fun, interactive sessions relating to their industry. Over 3,000 young people aged from 10-13 years from local schools will be invited to attend the event.
