Today, on our daily sheep farming vlog at Ewetopia Farms, we bring you behind the scenes to show you how we care for our sheep at this time of year on our farm.

On a sheep farm, looking after the needs of your animals is always a top priority. First on the list of daily requirements are feeding the sheep. In our case, the sheep and lambs are all indoors at this time of year and we have lots of groups of sheep that must be fed every day including milk to bottle babies, creep feed to growing lambs, quality grain and hay to pregnant and lactating ewes, and hay to the rams. We show you how we go about feeding the different sheep, and we show you how we make our own creep feed for the lambs.

What goes in must come out. So, since the sheep are inside now, we must regularly put fresh bedding out for the sheep as well. We bed down several groups of sheep today. While putting out the straw, one group of lambs got to run around outside, which they enjoy, and it helps keep them out of the way while laying down the straw.
