Junior Zoey Welch epitomizes the term “multisport athlete,” excelling in basketball where she earned 1st team all-district honors and led her team to the playoffs. Her success extends to golf, where she secured tournament victories this year. In track & field, she showcased her versatility by winning the 800-meter race at her last meet. Not stopping there, she is also a state champion in powerlifting in the 105-pound weight class, demonstrating her strength and determination. Remarkably, Zoey is on track to graduate with her associate degree from Western Texas College before even completing high school. Additionally, her involvement in Future Farmers of America speaks to her well-rounded interests and dedication to various pursuits. Zoey’s hard work and dedication set a shining example for aspiring athletes everywhere. Welch’s hard work has earned her Class 2A Greater Texas Ford Dealers – Female Athlete of the Month.
