Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

Fog and early morning thunderstorms delayed my drone flight by a few hours today, but that didn't stop the progress and the big changes such as Cybertruck production and the apparent start of the Boring Company tunneling operations plus a whole lot more interesting developments around the site today!

In the video description, I discuss two recent videos I did, the first a drone flight of the Tesla Corpus Christi Lithium Plant and I show some of the key areas that you will be able to view in my main video and provide some discussion about what we are able to see and what we learned during my 11 March 2024 video. The second video I discuss in the intro is my 1,000 mile update with my new Cybertruck and how it performed on the trip down through south Texas, to the Lithium Plant and then to Starbase for Starships third launch. I discuss the reactions the Cybertruck received, some things I like and areas for improvement, and some of the people I met along the way. Link to the full video is below in the sources section.

A few highlights to look out for in the video are:

The west outbound lot and end-of-line (EOL) areas are overflowing with Cybertrucks today, with a large number stored on the south side near the superchargers, even more on the east side of the EOL facility and perhaps another 100 in the outbound lot being picked up or maneuvered for pickup by the transport trucks that seem to be in constant motion.

The boring company crews have prepared the Prufrock 3 for tunneling by piking up dirt in front of the cutting head, burying about 2/3s of it while other crew we doing some last-minute welding on the underside of the cutting head, presumably before filling the temporary open pit with dirt that the Prufrock 3 is sitting in, ready for tunneling to start. More of the support items, such as the belt cassette, conveyor system, the tunnel concrete section "train", & more tunnel sections being delivered (and being placed near the Prufrock 3) & several other final preparations.

The east side of the casting machine section continues to get more screw-type piles installed in what appears to be an extension of the casting machine section. This appears to be for some kind of heavy equipment, put perhaps not as heavy as a new Giga Press.

On the south end extension, we see much more of the steel assembly has been completed on the west side & continued work on the three ground-level parallel excavations, with the center one getting a mud-base for additional rebar installation. More of the huge glass panes have been installed on the south end, with crews adding more of the window mounts to continue the installation work towards the west along the south side. More floor & roof decking is being installed on the southwest and west sections.

At the cathode chiller plant, we see all four of the large stainless steel tanks have now been installed, more work on the chiller plant second floor & a new temporary scaffolding along the west wall of the cathode plant, extending from the second floor of the chiller plant to the roof of the cathode plant. We may see additional pipework added in this area.

Finally, the crash testing facility south end water pit now had a water tank installed nearby. We saw this being delivered on my previous video, so they wasted no time getting it installed!
