Hello, CFBISD, I just want to take a minute and tell you, I hope that you're staying safe and healthy and well, and as we open the 20-21 school year, that's our number one priority is to make sure that you stay healthy, you stay safe.

You're our number one priority, but let's talk a little bit about how the opening of 20-21 will look like and some of the things that we need from you.

So starting this week, we started open enrollment and we are calling parents to ask two things. One, are you going traditional or online learning?

That's our remote learning and two, the reason we're asking is we need to know if you have technology and or hotspots.

We want to make sure that every one of our scholars has the device and has the accessibility to use Wi-Fi and internet as we move forward in the 2021 school year.

But first, one of the biggest things that I want to announce is that starting on August 17th, CFBISD will be going remote learning for all children.

This will last three weeks, so that means that we will return to either:
traditional or online learning starting September 8th.

That's the other reason we still need that information. So as we start to set up schedules and teachers and programs, we need to know where you are and what program you'll be using, even though you'll all be remote again the first three weeks of learning that as soon as we hit the ground running with those children that will return into our buildings on September 8th, we will already have a process in place.

Again, we care about you, we appreciate our teachers and all the hard work that you're doing each and every day and we are putting processes and procedures in place to make sure you as an individual, as a human being, your priorities are met and your safety and security is always at the forefront.

Thank you so much for who you are and God bless each of you.
