In this video, I discuss Bitcoin and the pros and cons of different asset classes as an inflation hedge and long-term investment.

If you have money today that you would like to be able to use in the future (without it being lost, confiscated, or devalued), it is important to think through the pros and cons of investing in:

1) Savings accounts
2) US Treasuries
3) Real estate
4) Fine art
5) Other fixed income/bonds
6) Stocks
7) Gold
8) Bitcoin

In my opinion, only Bitcoin checks all the boxes as a safe inflation hedge and permission-less, censorship-resistant investment.

If Bitcoin begins to be used in this way by both wealthy people and people seeking to save for retirement, its market cap could approach that of gold ($12 trillion) or the S&P 500. This would imply price targets of $500,000 to $2 million per Bitcoin and beyond.

Bitcoin is the hardest and most portable money around, which gives it many advantages over traditional asset classes.

Wealth and savings matter for both individuals and for human civilization. It is how you support your future self, children, grand-children. It is also how a culture creates a stockpile of wealth that can be used for start-ups, exploring the solar system, inventing new technologies, saving the planet, etc.

Bitcoin is a way of saving this wealth from the maws of politicians and central bankers.
