We asked Sarah Knapp, VP of Software Development at Dice: Do you have advice for fellow women in tech?

“Working in a predominately male industry, it’s very important that you feel confident in who you are, and have confidence in what you’re saying.

“Regardless of how far up you go, [up] the chain, you do have that imposter syndrome. A little bit of, do I belong here? Do I feel confident speaking up? Can I do that?

“You just have to know that everyone feels that way. Even as a Vice President, I still feel that way. But what’s helped me is just having the confidence in myself, and double checking that I know my facts.”
