The 2001 Porsche Boxster 986 is the generation that reintroduced the mid-engine configuration to Porsche's lineup. However, it's not the most respected or highly regarded of the Porsche Boxster and Cayman generations. Is that because of the styling, with its controversial fried egg headlights similar to the Porsche 997, or because of something else regarding its handling dynamics and engine?
