Sending abundant blessings (salawat) and peace (salam) upon the Prophet S is a way to show our gratitude towards him S. It is a demonstration of a believer’s love and veneration for the Prophet S, and it is also one of the most beneficial supplications that a person can make. It is said that making salawat is also a way of compensation for some ‘rights’ that the Prophet S has over creation because he S is the most significant means through which every favor has reached them. Thus, as believers, we must stay connected to the Prophet S and keep his presence S alive in our hearts. We should try to continuously remember him S and praise him S as much as possible because he S is the cause of our success in this world and the Hereafter.
