It’s always fun to dream about a super-expensive luxury or sports car, but the reality is that most Canadians have to do their car shopping on a budget. To give you some idea of what’s out there at the opposite end of that fantasy-car scale, we’ve found the cheapest vehicles for 2024 in each segment in Canada.

Here are some things to keep in mind. We’re using the MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price), which doesn’t include extras such as dealer fees, taxes, or freight/delivery (we note that last cost separately). It also doesn’t include any rebates or incentives. Each price here is for the absolute base trim.
