More than 1M NJ residents are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine boosters, under new CDC guidelines announced Friday. Recommended for boosters are people over age 65 and residents of long-term care facilities plus people ages 16 to 64 with underlying medical conditions. The new guidelines also include workers at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19, including health care staffers and teachers.
