Ford said it would take over an hour to take off the wheel cylinder and adjust the handbrake on my 15k service and wasn't covered. I said don't do it on a hunch and asked my mechanic friend. Turns out you can just adjust it through a small hole in the back of the cylinder wall. Jack the ute up and use jack stands for safety. Chock the front wheels so it doesn't roll. Just make sure your handbrake is off and in neutral and test the hand brake tension every now and then. Do both sides and make sure the wheels spin easily when the brake isn't applied. 4 to 5 clicks to tight on the handbrake is good. Hope this helps.
