Dr. Peter Dirks specializes in neurosurgery of infants and children, particularly brain tumour surgery and surgery of blood vessel malformations. His laboratory was the first to identify cancer stem cells in human brain tumours in 2004. In his TED talk, Dr. Dirks talks about the new research in his laboratory at SickKids Hospital in Toronto.
