This summer we got to stay in the beautiful Italian mountain side village of Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites. From there we got to hike up to Tre Cime di Lavaredo all the way from the bottom lake of Lago di Misurina. We then got to experience a beautiful Sentiero ferrata Astaldi. This is a great scenic route at south edge of the Tofana along very colorful, slope-forming ochre-colored strata (the Raibl formation – 220 million years). WOW!

I then got to rock climb Torre Grande from the Cinque Torri formation and we all got to drive through the Falzarego pass. Miriam Route on the Great Tower of the 5 Torri
