In a city filled with Movie star mansions, this home isn’t quite the architecture you’d expect to see in Beverly Hills. But it actually DOES originate from Hollywood. This fairytale home was originally built on a movie studio in Culver City during the 1920s. A few years later the home was moved to this famous corner in Beverly Hills. Now owned by renown realtor Michael J. Libow.

This home is a prime example of what is called “storybook architecture”. The Windows are tiny and the doors are round surrounded by this magical, theatrical and whimsical setting. It instantly reminds me of "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" at Disneyland. Its dilapidated-looking pitched roof is pointed like a witch's hat, and the walls of the house slope precariously, giving the impression it could collapse at any moment!

Michael was kind enough to allow me to tour the home for @spectrumnews1socal while he prepares to welcome more than 4,000 trick-or-treaters this Halloween.

Michael J. Libow is a hero for many reasons… he not only purchased it, saved it, and restored it, he got his home cultural landmark status so it can never ever be altered or torn down which is quite an accomplishment! Plus he puts on quite a show every Halloween night keeping this Halloween tradition alive.

It was such a pleasure to produce this very special segment. 🎃 🧙‍♀️
