DIY: Hydroponics — Reusable Germination Tray. Zero Consumables. 100% Recycled Materials. Cost: $0.00

You can't get any more laid back with Kratky method and routine like clockwork and inflation. Still, preparing seeds for germination is a bit complicated with the current germination tray: Cut the paper towel to size, splitting the two-ply and setting it on the tray. Not to mention, paper towels are now thinner and more expensive. It needs to go.

As well, roots of young sprouts sometimes cling onto the paper towel, and it can break when pulled during transplant. Not to mention soaked paper towels can sometimes get moldy, no matter how much you sterilize it.

Fortunately, I was inspired by cigar cutters while watching period series filmed in the 70's. And here we are...

Here's the new and improved germination tray. No more paper towels, just add water...

Total cost to make: $0
Best of all, no more consumables.
