Liam McBride, senior at Santa Clara University and 2022-23 Hackworth Fellow at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics researches housing as a basic human right, and examines homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The homelessness crisis has been worsening across the San Francisco Bay Area and we need to start working together to solve this critical issue. The right to housing is a crucial way in which we can refocus our efforts on what's really important and begin tackling this issue.

In this video, Liam McBride, 2022-23 Hackworth Fellow, describes the different housing ethics that Professor Tim Iglesias developed and how they relate to the homelessness crisis. This will include the five housing ethics he wrote about in the Wake Forest Law review as well as a sixth housing ethic he developed later on.
