the Porsche Macan is heading into a bold new direction, now in all-electric form. Through its progressive, timeless design, characteristic Porsche performance, range suitable for everyday use and high level of practicality, the new Macan 4 and Macan Turbo aim to completely fulfill the requirements of Porsche customers choosing an SUV

The new Macan Turbo gets a whopping 639hp and 1,130Nm of torque. The new Macan Turbo is even more rapid, managing 0-60mph in just 3.3 seconds. That’s a full second quicker than the old Macan GTS, and it’s exactly the same time Tesla quotes for the Model Y Performance.

All versions of the Macan will come with a 95kWh battery as standard, and Porsche has been hard at work making this car as aerodynamic as possible to help the efficiency. It has a completely flat underfloor, and even the wheels have been designed to slip through the air as smoothly as possible.

if you go for the quicker Turbo model, that car can drive for 367 miles on a full charge. That’s still almost 30 miles more than a BMW iX M60

The Macan EV features an upscale cabin with integrated ambient lighting, and Porsche says it will offer leather-free seats. Recycled materials are used throughout the interior, including floor mats crafted from regenerated nylon. Since the Macan EV doesn’t need to pack an engine under the hood, the crossover pairs its 18-cubic-foot rear cargo space with an additional storage nook in the front with a claimed 2.9 cubic-foot capacity. With the rear seats folded down, Porsche says the rear cargo area expands to 46.5 cubic feet.

The Macan EV utilizes a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch central touchscreen. A second 10.9-inch display that sits in front of the passenger and allows them to view video content while the car is in motion is an optional extra. The head-up display also uses augmented reality to overlay elements like navigation onto the driver’s view of the outside world. The infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and features a voice assistant—activated by saying “Hey Porsche.

the high-performance Turbo version tickles your fancy, that’ll set you back £95,000. It may be around £23,000 more than the current Macan GTS
