In four days I rode the historic "Athabasca Landing Trail" on my bike. The trail was built by the Hudson's Bay Company in 1872. The company needed it to freight goods between the Athabasca and North Saskatchewan rivers, from Edmonton House to Athabasca Landing. It also provided a settlement route to the north. Some of the original route is still used from that time! The trail is a section of the better known Trans Canada Trail. Hope you enjoy my bike ride, and I hope it makes you want to try it out too!
